In my current position as Engineering Outreach Program Coordinator, I get to take on any large events or special projects that come our way.
This includes working with our partners, Engineers of Tomorrow and Engineers Canada, to host over 1000 students across Canada in an event to showcase their Future Cities. this year, we hosted three separate events: The Future City Experience, vitrine Future City (yes, in French!), and a Future City Expo. The first two events were all online, and the third we were able to welcome the students of Durham Catholic District School Board to our campus to celebrate their projects in person!

Another project as the Special Events Coordinator, and my favourite of all of them.
The annual sumobot competition, one of Ontario Tech's longest running events. Hosting over 200 elementary and highschool students from around Ontario, it gives students the opportunity to put their building, coding, and technical report writing skills to the test!
I learned so much in this project, including how to obtain the correct insurance documents, organizing a team of 25 volunteers and staff, and how to delegate. It is by far my favourite project to date!

Feeling nervous before beginning!
A podcast that offers listeners a fun and engaging way to learn about the latest research from The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Ontario Tech University. Listeners will hear directly from Engineering Faculty in a conversational setting as they discuss their findings and the implications of their work with current Ontario Tech Engineering students. Each interview breaks down one or more research topics and takes a look at how this research is tied into the classroom.
At the end of your engineering education students partake in a two semester group project called a capstone. My team's design was a portable 12lb device designed to communicate with various instruments and sensors that can acquire and display data in real time.
My role was to work with the live dashboards, project management, and creation of the final product video shown on the left.
